Mike Birbiglia (who is performing tonight at ComedyJuice Live. Get Tickets Here!) has a new show coming out and it looks like they're starting off on the right track by hiring Bob Odenkirk, a man that I think can handle a comedy beat or two to play his brother.
Punchline Magazine reports:
The veteran comedy writer, actor and producer will play the New York-based comedian's older brother on the show, which is centered around Birbiglia's real-life blog he periodically e-mails to his fans.
A comic with a blog?? Talk about fantasy..

Bob Odenkirk has been cast in Mike Birbiglia's new CBS pilot, Mike Birbiglia's Secret Public Journal.
The veteran comedy writer, actor and producer will play the New York-based comedian's older brother on the show, which is centered around Birbiglia's real-life blog he periodically e-mails to his fans.
Odenkirk, who will premiere a new Super Deluxe production Derek and Simon: The Show on May 16, has also recently teamed up again with long-time writing partner David Cross for an HBO pilot called David's Situation, shooting May 9 in Los Angeles.
Also cast in Birbiglia's pilot is Rachel Blanchard, who will play the comedian's live-in girlfriend and Phil Hendrie, who will portray Mike's doctor.
Meanwhile, Birbiglia's DVD What I Should Have Said Was Nothing: Tales from My Secret Public Journal comes out today.
