In "exciting" news today, MTV has decided that the best way to bring the viewers back to their ridiculously influential and not at all predetermined awards show was to go back to a simpler time when we all thought Mike Myers was funny. Remember? C'mon, you can do it! Mole!
The esteemed publication of OK! Magazine reports:
Who's MTV's hostest with the mostest? This year it's Mike Myers. The Canadian comedian has been selected by the music network to host the 2008 MTV Movie Awards...
Myers, who hasn't appeared live in any film since 2003's disastrous View From the Top (though he's voiced characters in the animated Shrek series), stars in the upcoming film The Love Guru.
This is Myers' second time hosting the show. This year's Movie Awards will air live on June 1.
Gosh, I hope he does that Irish Guy accent!! Sigh. At least it's better than freakin Lohan trying to remember how to read a prompter through a coked out haze. Well, I guess it's a toss-up.
